For over 70 years, Westwater Country Hams has been putting authentic, hand-cured Southern ham on tables across the region. No shortcuts. No machines doing the work that hands should do.
Westwater Country Hams started in 1952 when our grandfather loaded his first batch of pork hams into a smokehouse behind his home on the outskirts of Warsaw. He believed that if you treat the meat right — salt it properly, cure it slowly, and smoke it with honest oak and hickory — the ham will tell you everything you need to know.
Today, his grandchildren keep that same standard. Every ham we produce is hand-rubbed with our blend of sea salt, brown sugar, and spices, then cured for a full four weeks before going into the smokehouse. We don't rush it. We don't cut corners. And we don't sell anything we wouldn't put on our own table.
Every ham gets a thorough hand application of our cure blend.
Real wood smoke, no liquid smoke shortcuts or artificial flavors.
Every ham is cured, smoked, and ready to cook. We offer a range of sizes and styles to fit your family, your gathering, or your kitchen.

There's no way to rush a proper country ham. Here's what goes into every Westwater ham before it reaches your kitchen.
We source only the finest pork hams from trusted regional farms, choosing cuts with the right marbling and fat cover for curing.
Each ham is hand-rubbed with our proprietary blend of sea salt, brown sugar, and spices, then packed and cured for four full weeks.
Cured hams go into our smokehouse for a slow smoke over real oak and hickory wood, developing color and flavor over many hours.
After smoking, hams rest to let the flavors meld. Then we vacuum-seal and ship them fresh to your door — or you can pick them up right here in Warsaw.
